Too much lime?

I have a section of my yard i'd like to make a flower garden. before i moved here, there was a lot of lime dumped in this section. although i was able to break it up and soften it, could i still plant flowers in the soil or should i remove it completely?

Doug says, if you can see chunks of lime still in the soil, then I'd recommend removing it. Tough to grow much in that kind of burning soil.
