Russian Sage overgrown
I cut my Russian Sage back every year and it gets overgrown to the point that the purple flower stems are laying on the ground. Any suggestions?
Doug says stop feeding it. Stop watering it. Let it grow as hard and tough as you can. That will keep it upright. And move it into the full, hot sun with absolutely no shade at all.
Full hot sun, no food, no water, no pampering of any kind and that should just about do it.
Well... enough water so it doesn't wilt but not a heck of a lot and no clay soil to hold moisture around the crowns.
