Planting shasta daisies in rain-soaked soil

by Mar

Can shasta daisies be planted in rain-soaked soil. Flowers were purchased a week-and-a haf ago; I fear they will become root-bound if not put in the ground soon. Rain continues to be a hindrance to dryer soil. Could you offer suggestions? Thanks.

Doug says he doesn't understand the problem. If the ground is swampy, the shasta won't live anyway. If the ground is good ground but simply soaked but it will drain - go ahead and plant the perennial shasta daisy

Planting Shasta Daisies

I suggest you transfer the plant to a larger pot with drainage holes, adding fresh potting soil in and around it. It will help it grow larger and healthier. Keep in a protected location. When it stops raining and soil isn't so muddy..plant in the ground.
