Pachysandra growth pattern on banks

Hey maybe a stupid question but am curious as to whether Pachysandra if planted on a hill will grow more up the hill or down .

Doug says pachysandra will slowly expand from it's center or where you plant it. In theory, it should move equally. The only research I've seen about uphill or downhill is plant response to global warming where plants that like cold weather are moving uphill in their locations.

Some plants appear to be "moving" downhill but when examined, you're going to see shoots coming off in all directions.

Having said this - I haven't done any direct research on it myself. So will look forward to you getting back to us on what happened (but I'm betting you need to plant them wherever you want them to grow and watch them slowly expand). :-)
