No blooms

by Colleen

My lavendar is in full hot sun. I don't water it. It was doing great but now in August, no more blooms. Just green bush and dead blooms. No new ones. Do I water more? Cut off dead blooms, or what. I live in N. Western Washington.

Doug says it ran out of blooming. It does that. It doesn't keep blooming like an annual unless you deadhead and prune it to keep it blooming. Probably too late in the season to prune and deadhead and expect more blossoms.

So prune off the dead stalks - and ignore it. Don't give water or food or anything else - it will be fine for next year.
