PURCHASED LEMON SLICE HIBISCUS SEEDS (abelmaschus manihot) ON LINE. WHEN & HOW IS THE BEST WAY TO START THE SEEDS? I LIVE IN ILLINOIS (ZONE 5)

Doug says that this is a tender perennial - you may or may not be able to overwinter it. But treat it like an annual seed. Warm soils, barely covered, and damp but not soggy conditions. Start it the same way you would any annual seed.
