iris seeds

i cam across this iris seed pods from a park one day was wandering if they can be planted this fall ? and how long before they are fully mature sending pix of this and thanks so much for your time ..b hunt

Doug says iris seed should be treated pretty much like any other perennial seed. You can sown in the fall or sow in the spring. No difference with this plant. Here's the page on perennial seed sowing

Iris seed and iris plants are no different in this way from any other perennial. Easy to germinate. Should bloom in year 3 or maybe even year 2 if well-grown.
