Invasive weed

When we purchased our home it came complete with a rock garden. However, there is an invasive weed that I cant seem to get rid of. It spreads very quickly. What can I use to rid the garden of this pest without harming my wanted plants?

Doug says that the "armstrong method" is the only way to get rid of weeds in rock gardens. There are no chemicals that will be able to be sprayed that will not kill off the plants along with the weeds. You could use one of the organic weed killers (horticultural vinegar types) that burn off weeds and carefully spray or wipe each individual plant with a cloth soaked in the spray but the hand weeding of rock gardens is the main method used around the world.

This is why rock gardening and alpine gardening is the single most intensive form of gardening known to gardening. Great to look at but a ton of work.
