Hosta tend to bleach if they're getting too much sunshine. And this can take several forms from straight color loss to tip and leaf edge burn.
Something sucking the leaf color could be sunshine or it could be a leaf hopper or other leaf sucking creature (aphids or spider mites) Check the bottom of the leaves for very fine webbing.
The pictured Hosta were likely visited by a slug or hungry beetle but they're very thick leafed varieties so slugs are less of a problem on them. If you want to ask about other problems beside hosta leaf bleaching, click here
