Hollyhock container planting
Doug says he sees no reason why a hollyhock "can't" be grown in a container. You'll need a 2-year old plant because 1-year old plants don't flower as a general rule.
And you'll need a honking big pot or heavy one because when the wind blows, this really tall plant is going to want to blow over.
Not something you normally see done but in a very large container, it could be interesting.
