Foxglove Seeding Mid Summer

I was wondering if I could seed Foxglove now (almost mid July). I didn't realize how much shade I would get in the one spot of my flower beds and planted hollyhocks. I'm moving the hollyhocks to almost full sun but yet have something to put in their spot. I'd like some green this year in place of the hollyhocks.
Thanks,
Amanda
Doug says that yes, you could plant Foxglove seeds now (mid-summer). Just don't feed them at all! If they're grown tough-love this year, they'll survive nicely but if you try to push them along, they'll go into the winter too lush and die in your northern garden. Grow 'em tough.
Often what happens in the garden is the seeds lie dormant over the winter and then germinate early in the spring. So if you don't see a lot of seeds germinating, don't panic - there will be more next year as well. This is a good thing - you'll have them on different schedules and this years plants will probably bloom next year.
