drought tolerant & deer resistant plants
I am interested in planting the coneflower and lavender but am not sure if both are drought tolerant and deer resistant. Also would like to know the best time to plant them in my area (central North Carolina).

Check the lists of plants right here for drought tolerant and deer resistant plants.
Planting is done very early in the spring and/or in early fall for bare root plants.
Can be pretty much done at any time for container grown plants as long as you ensure they don't run out of water for the first season.
