Purple foliage and pink/white blossoms

I have a number of these purple foliaged perennials in a full sun garden bed. It is about 36" tall and has begun to bloom with these tiny pink/white flowers (see photo).

Since this garden was in full swing when I bought the house, I have spent the past year identifying each plant slowly and surely. This is one of the last plants I have to identify.

Doug says to upload this plant to the Plant ID team right here

Penstemon

That is a type of Penstemon. I believe it is a Husker Red. I have those in my heavy clay, hot, dry garden. It has also been able to self sow. I live in zone 5. It is a very hearty perennial. Mine are at least 7 years old.
