Bright colored daylilies

I can't choose one. I stumbled on to daylilies and I cannot seem to get enough of them. I have tried (but I have not succeeded) to have as little lawn as possible. My husband knows my lawn take over plans but has not really sanctioned it! I plant a daylily wherever I can. My last count was 125. But I digress.

I love Chicago Apache. When it is blooming you cannot miss the clean bright red colors with a tinge og yellow midrib in a few of the petals. Insects appear to really love it and I was able to catch this one having fun.

Starting in early May till October I always have some daylily blooming but July is the best month for me with over 70 in bloom at the same time. Right now wine red, Stella de Oro, Stella Supreme and Rosy Returns are still in bloom!

I love that you really do not need to do much for them. They also make me humble somehow because

Yes I reda somewhere that garden is an addiction. I agree it really is but what great addiction. I enjoy is as much as I can because one the cold sets in well they all go to sleep.

Doug, I think I also have your favorite daylily or a close relation. It was labeled Kwanso

(Doug says that yes, the variegated form is a Kwanso and there is a green leaved form as well)
