I am assuming that this is a variety of blackeyed susan. I saw this growing in Maine and took a photo for identification. It has a yellow center, which I found unusual. Please help! I would also like to know where I could purchase this perennial?

Doug says it is indeed black-eyed Susan - the variety is hard to tell from pics without leaves etc. If growing in the wild - it's likely R. hirta (the biennial form) If in a garden, could be any number of species/varieties.

Any garden center should have both perennial and annual forms of this plant.
